Provisional timetable

Saturday 16th October
11am - 1pm Rehearse from 1.30pm at St Peter's Church, Eaton Square, London
1pm - 2.30pm Break for lunch
2.30 - 4.30pm Rehearse

5pm Service of Thanksgiving for the RSCM Millennium Youth Choir sung by past and present members

7.30pm Black tie party - drinks reception, hot buffet, live jazz band. Bring your own choice of drinks for the meal.

Sunday 17th October
1.15pm - 2.30pm Rehearse

3pm Hour-long concert given by past and present MYC members with musical contributions from Voces8

We are delighted that Lord Carey is able to preach at the service - the former Archbishop of Canterbury, at whose suggestion the choir was formed - and that the choir's former conductor Gordon Stewart, will be able to attend. We hope to sing a piece specially written by Martin Neary; and the RSCM's Director, Lindsay Gray, will lead a toast to the Millennium Youth Choir at the dinner.

Cost

£85 pays for your participation in the weekend on a non-residential basis and your ticket for the black tie party. This includes a contribution to the costs such as the venue hire and professional fees, music hire and administration.

To book your place, please complete a booking form and pay a deposit of £25 by Wednesday 1st September at the latest. The balance will be due by Friday 17th September.

Partners

Partners are also warmly invited to attend the black tie dinner at a cost of £45. They are also encouraged to come and hear the service and the concert.

Accommodation

Bed & breakfast accommodation for 30 people is available at St Katharine's retreat centre on the night of Saturday 16th October at a cost of £45. Recognising that many ex-members either live in London themselves or have friends and family, the accommodation will be offered to current MYC members first. Please indicate on the form if you would like to be put on the list for accomodation and we'll let you know as soon as we can if we can offer it. We will ask for payment once it is confirmed.

Bursaries

A limited number of bursaries are available to people who would otherwise not be able to afford the full course fee. Please download the bursary form, complete it with details of two referees and send to the address on the form as soon as possible.
