RSCM Millennium Youth Choir
The RSCM Millennium Youth Choir is an exciting chamber choir, founded in 2000 at the suggestion of the Archbishop of Canterbury.
“The RSCM does fantastic work in encouraging young singers all over the world. The vibrancy and commitment of the young voices of the Millennium Youth Choir shows that Church Music is not only alive and well, but flourishing!” Malcolm Archer, Director of Chapel Music at Winchester College, formerly Director of Music at St Paul’s Cathedral, London
Membership of the RSCM Millennium Youth Choir offers special opportunities to young singers aged between 16-23 years to sing the widest and most exciting range of sacred music to the highest standards. Residential courses are held during school and university holidays, and include individual musical and vocal tuition, as well as participation in services and performance in public concerts.

The RSCM Millennium Youth Choir is 10 years old, and to celebrate, we're holding a weekend of festivities for current and past members in London on 16th and 17th October 2010. Sign up and spread the word!
The weekend begins with rehearsals from 11am on Saturday 16th October for a Thanksgiving Service at St Peter's Church, Eaton Square, London. The service will be led by RSCM Council Member Wendy Wilby, and the preacher will be the former Archbishop of Canterbury, George Carey.
A black tie party in the evening begins with a drinks reception and toast to the RSCM Millennium Youth Choir, followed by a hot fork buffet with music from a live jazz band.
Sunday morning is free to make way for people to play or sing at their own churches where necessary. Rehearsals then continue from 1.15pm for an hour-long concert at 3pm, with musical contributions from the fabulous VOCES8 which was founded by members of the MYC.
